Every few years for the past 40 years or so, the pick-up truck issue surfaces in Coral Gables. Now, after prolonged and very expensive litig... ation in which the city successfully defended its ordinance not allowing parking pick-up trucks in residential areas, the City Commission immediately turned back its victory. Why did we (the city) even start to expend upwards of $200,000 by the taxpayers if there was apparently no intention of savoring a victory; on the contrary, to just squander it instead. Who of us, personally, would win a law suit, only to magnanimously hand the win back to an opponent?
