Publix stores in Coral Gables, Aventura sold Wednesday’s big lottery draw winners
All the day’s jackpot luck in Wednesday’s Florida Lottery major money draw games — Florida Lotto, Powerball, Fantasy 5 — was concentrated in two Miami-Dade Publix stores.
That good fortune didn’t unlock the Powerball vault, which will be up to $348 million for Saturday’s drawing, or the Florida Lotto top prize.
The Fantasy 5 midday drawing pulled 1, 11, 14, 16 and 31, numbers chosen by a shopper at an Aventura Publix, 18995 Biscayne Blvd. A resident of Canada’s Quebec province claimed a $55,747 prize.

Wednesday’s night’s Fantasy 5 numbers — 1, 4, 7, 12, 32 — were on a Quick Pick ticket produced by the machine at the Publix in a thumb of Coral Gables almost surrounded by Miami proper at 106 Ponce de Leon Blvd. That’s now a $110,506 ticket.
Winning tickets of these amounts must be cashed at a Florida Lottery district office. The Miami-Dade office is at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments, which aren’t required, can be made at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3080.
