The time to save money on dining out in Coral Gables is here.

Starting July 1 and running throughout the month, the annual Taste the Gables promotion kicks off a month of saving on lunches, dinner and more. Think of it as a mini Miami Spice limited to the Gables, during which restaurants offer fixed-price menus, discounts and a variety of experiences.

Much of the promotion involves fixed price, three-course lunch menus — appetizer, entree and dessert — beginning at $30, with dinners starting around $45. Participating restaurants include (but are not limited to) Kojin 2.0, Miss Crispy Rice, Beauty and the Butcher, Bouchon Bistro, Cebada Rooftop, Sra Martinez, The Wagyu Bar and the Michelin-starred Shingo.

Not all restaurants will offer the three-course meals. For example, Miss Crispy Rice is featuring a nine-course lunch and a 13-course dinner omakase experience, while Shingo offers an $180 “Nigiri Nights” experience on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with nigiri and seasonal specialties (dinner usually has a $275 minimum).

The promotion also includes special events, such as Pasta Nights on Mondays at Salumeria 104, where guests can try any pasta for $14, and an all-you-can-eat buffet from noon until 4 p.m. Mondays at Aromas del Peru.

Economic development director Belkys Perez said Taste the Gables is a great way to try Gables restaurants you may not have visited before.

“Each year, Taste the Gables grows and truly highlights the creativity and talent found in our restaurants,” she said. “We invite everyone to discover new favorites.”
