‘Don’t say gay’ bill passes
On Tuesday, March 8, The Florida Senate voted 22 to 17 to pass the measure dubbed the “don’t say gay” bill by opponents and the “parental rights in education” bill by Republican backers.

The so-called “Don’t say gay bill” passed the Florida Legislature on Tuesday. It now heads to Gov. Ron DeSantis for his signature.
The bill bans lessons about sexual orientation and gender identity for students in kindergarten to third grade.
