Celebrating Holy Week, Passover and Ramadan

We’re gathering at churches, and synagogues and mosques this week to celebrate holidays. Ramadan started two weeks ago and runs the rest of April. Passover begins Friday night. And Good Friday leads into Easter Sunday.

Expand All

Good Friday, the start of Passover at sundown Friday, followed by Easter Sunday — and it all happening during Ramadan — will have many getting together with family, friends and their spiritual beliefs over the next few days.

But that doesn’t mean material needs (“No, I didn’t get oat milk!”) and the secular world demands (“You know that has to be mailed by Monday”) disappear.
