These interactive pop-ups in Miami are lighting up everyone’s Instagram accounts
The year 2019 is almost over. Have you taken enough selfies?
Clearly not. How could there ever be too many photos of you?
You still have time to reach your selfie goals. Here are a few of the best Instagram spots in and around Miami. Just be sure your phone is charged.
And don’t forget to smile.
Slime City
The main thing to know about this Nickelodeon pop-up at the Aventura Mall is this: Bring a change of clothes. You’re gonna get slimed. Open through Jan. 20.
Candytopia
This candy-themed Aventura Mall spot near Treats food hall offers the opportunity to bask in a confetti room and roll around in a pit of fake marshmallows. Note: Do not eat the marshmallows. That would be super gross.
The NightGarden
In its second year, the light display at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is bigger and involves a maze, a light-up butterfly garden, fairies and a brief snowfall. Through Jan. 11.
Museum of Illusions
Head to Lincoln Road to experience this two-story Instagram hot spot and remember to bring a friend. You can’t take these photos by yourself unless you have extra arms.
Raleigh Gardens
Originally set up for Miami Art Week, this enchanting beachfront tropical garden is the largest-ever outdoor public exhibition of the work of the late Claude Lalanne and Francois-Xavier Lalanne, the artistic duo known as Les Lalanne. It features sheep, owls, a hidden pond, a gorilla and more. Open through Feb. 29 - and it’s free.
Luminosa at Jungle Island
There’s still time to visit the Chinese lantern exhibition at Jungle Island, which features a million LED lights. Through Jan. 8.
Unicorn Factory
Who says you need to be a hipster to enjoy Wynwood? The Unicorn Factory is a magical place where you can take selfies for the ages.
