Publix opens Latin-themed store in Westchester

 

The newly opened Publix Sabor offers its customers cortaditos, pastelitos and other Latin specialty items along with Publix's usual grocery offerings. Pictured, Carmen Mirlo prepares a cortadito at the store's cafe for a customer.

Croquetas, sweet ham and Sangria were on the menu at the new Publix Sabor in Westchester. Employees walked around with trays of these Latin favorites, passing them out to shoppers at the store, which opened over the weekend with its new look.

    Wine, cheese and Gables women a happy mix

    Members of the Coral Gables Woman's Club gathered at a wine and cheese social to celebrate another year of successful giving. The event was held at the organization's clubhouse adjacent to its May Van Sickle Children's Dental Clinic, which provides more than $160,000 in free dental care annually to children in need.
