Hurricanes continue to flip top recruits. The latest: A blue-chip tight end
The Miami Hurricanes’ hot run on the recruiting trail as of late continues.
Tight end Gavin Mueller on Tuesday announced his commitment to the Hurricanes’ Class of 2026, flipping his pledge from Colorado
Mueller, a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite ranking, is the Hurricanes’ fifth oral pledge since last weekend.
This follows commitments from four-star defensive back JJ Dunnigan on Nov. 9, four-star defensive lineman DeAnthony Lafayette on Nov. 10 and three-star defensive lineman Isaac Chukwurah on Nov. 11 and three-star defensive lineman Logan Nagle on Wednesday.
Out of Wheaton (Illinois) South Elgin High, Mueller is ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect out of Illinois, the No. 11 overall tight end and the No. 248 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 regardless of position.
Miami now has 30 players committed to its Class of 2026 with the early signing period set for Dec. 3-5.
He is the second tight end in the Hurricanes’ class, joining fellow four-star Israel Briggs.
