Three days, three commitments: Miami Hurricanes keep rolling on recruiting trail
The Miami Hurricanes continue to stay hot on the recruiting trail.
Miami on Tuesday received a commitment to their Class of 2026 for the third consecutive day, with three-star defensive lineman Isaac Chukwurah the latest to announce his pledge to UM.
The Hurricanes received commitments from four-star defensive back JJ Dunnigan on Sunday and four-star defensive lineman DeAnthony Lafayette on Monday.
Chukwurah, listed at 6-2 and 265 pounds, flipped his commitment from Penn State to Miami. He had been committed to the Nittany Lions since April 22 but made the move following Penn State’s firing of coach James Franklin earlier this season.
A standout at Bear (Delaware) Caravel Academy, Chukwurah is the second-best prospect out of Delaware, the No. 60 overall defensive lineman prospect in the class and the No. 506 recruit nationally in the class according to the 247Sports composite ranking.
Miami now has 28 players committed to its Class of 2026 with the early signing period set for Dec. 3-5.
Chukwurah is the sixth defensive lineman in Miami’s class, joining Keshawn Stancil, Anthony Kennedy Jr., Lafayette, Tyson Bacon and Frederic Sainteus.
