If you take a rideshare in your routine life, you know what you get: door-to-door service at the usual prices.

If you’re planning to take Uber or Lyft to and from Hard Rock Stadium on Monday night for the big Miami-Indiana game, don’t expect either.

A $50 Uber ride on Friday afternoon from the Fontainebleau or the Intercontinental hotels to the stadium was priced at around 50 bucks. You can be sure that won’t be the price on Monday afternoon or night.

And be prepared to walk.

Hard Rock Stadium doesn’t allow ride-share vehicles to pull right up to the gate. Instead, there is a designated pick-up and drop-off area outside the stadium grounds.

Here’s what to know:

Pricing: An Uber ride to Hard Rock Stadium around 4:45 p.m. Friday would cost about $50 from the Fontainebleau resort in Miami Beach, where UM is based, or the Intercontinental hotel in downtown Miami, where Indiana is based. That same ride on Monday afternoon or night could be double or triple, with a long wait for a driver.

Pick-up and drop-off: Hard Rock Stadium’s rideshare drop-off and pick-up is at Lot 44 at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex at 3000 NW 199th St. in Miami Gardens. The lot is a 25-minute walk from Hard Rock’s entrance and exit. Rideshare users may see surge pricing or extended wait times.

Uber shuttle: Uber Shuttle is available for a fixed fare from 199th Street near Lot 18 pedestrian bridge to locations around Miami. Uber Shuttle allows users to ride on requested bus routes to locations with other riders.

Cabs: Taxi pick-up and drop-off will be at 199th Street near Gate 3 and will be first-come, first-serve. Taxi providers will decide the price of the rides.

Pro tip and warning: Hard Rock Stadium recommends fans take a rideshare to catch a stadium express bus from the Hard Rock hotel lot near Hollywood or the Golden Glades parking garage. “Due to high demand following games and events, guests utilizing rideshare may experience surge pricing or extended wait times, especially when calling rides from the stadium’s surrounding area.”
