Miami Homecoming 2022: Here’s what to know ahead of the Hurricanes’ big game
It might not seem possible, but Homecoming Weekend is just a few days away. The weekend of Nov. 4-6 will connect current University of Miami students with alumni on campus, as they celebrate the heritage of the university and cheer on the Hurricanes football team.
If you’re an alumnus planning to return to Miami for the first time in awhile, you probably have some questions about what campus life is like. We’re here to give you a guide to make the most out of your visit and make Homecoming 2022 a weekend you’ll never forget.
Who is Miami playing in the Homecoming game?
The Hurricanes football team will take on Florida State on Saturday, Nov. 5. Miami enters the weekend with a 4-4 record (2-2 in conference play), and is coming off a 14-12 four-overtime victory over Virginia on October. 29.
Florida State, meanwhile sports a 5-3 record (3-3 in conference play), and is fresh off a 41-16 victory over Georgia Tech last weekend.
The Hurricanes are coming off a season in which they finished 7-5 overall (5-3 conference play), but ended up withdrawing from the 2021 Sun Bowl due to COVID-19 issues.
The Hurricanes will clash with the Seminoles, who finished the 2021 season with a 5-7 overall record (4-4 conference play). But Florida State did get the better of Miami in last season’s matchup between the two schools, winning by a score of 31-28. Miami will be out for revenge over Homecoming weekend.
