The only guide you’ll ever need to: Miami’s newest restaurants
You are an adventurous eater. You want to be the first to dine at a brand-new restaurant.
You have come to the right place.
Every week we get reams of pitches for new restaurant openings in Miami-Dade County, all of them promising something new and exciting. We’ve sifted through them and picked out the ones that caught our eye as we wrote about them for the Miami Herald. We’ve made them into a list searchable by price, the part of town and the type of cuisine you’re craving. All of them are less than a year old. And we plan to keep updating this list with the newest spots.
The end of 2022 was a busy month for restaurant openings, many of them highly anticipated: Chef Donatella Arapaia’s new take on Matheson Hammock’s Redfish Grill, now called Noma Beach; Brad Kilgore’s MaryGold’s at the Arlo Wynwood, the first hotel in Wynwood; Walrus Rodeo from the creators of the Michelin-starred Boia De and Laurel from Michael Beltran, creator of the Michelin-starred Ariete.
A couple of old favorites reopened with new menus: Giorgio Rapicavoli’s Eating House, now on Giralda Plaza, and everybody’s favorite Irish pub, JohnMartin’s, with a new look in the same spot on Miracle Mile in the Gables.
For the diner who wants to be able to post “first!” on Instagram, it’s a great guide to help you be among the earliest to discover Miami’s best new restaurant.
