Storm Duck injured
The Dolphins lost a starting a cornerback in Duck who suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter.
After a cart took him to the locker room, he was ruled out right before the second half resumed.
Rasul Douglas will now replace Duck.
Two drives, two turnovers
Tua Tagovailoa’s first two offensive drives have ended in turnovers.
First, the quarterback threw a pick to Colts safety Camryn Bynum. Then, cornerback Kenny Moore II got a strip sack that saw Tagovailoa once again cough up the ball — this time to former Dolphin Xavien Howard.
What a terrible, terrible way to start the season.
James Daniels injures arm
Miami Dolphins right guard James Daniels injured his pectoral early in the first quarter of the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts. He was ruled out right before the second half resumed, per the team.
With Daniels out, Kion Smith will fill in at right guard.
INACTIVES:
O happy day!
The Dolphins will have starting right guard James Daniels after he was initially questionable for Sunday’s matchup.
A splash free agent signing in 2025, Daniels suffered an ankle injury ahead of the Week 1 matchup. This came after the veteran offensive lineman got cleared from a ruptured Achilles that cost him most of the 2024 season.
The Dolphins’ inactives include tailback Jaylen Wright (knee), cornerback Ethan Bonner (hamstring), tight end Darren Waller (hip), offensive lineman Kendall Lamm, receiver Tahj Washington, quarterback Quinn Ewers and defensive tackle Zeek Biggers.
