Interstate 95 in North Broward was shut down for more than three hours early Thursday as police investigated a shooting on the highway, according to early reports.
The southbound lanes between Sample Road and Copans Road in Pompano Beach reopened just before 7 a.m.
Broward sheriff’s deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers were on the highway since around 3:30 a.m. investigating the shooting.
Miami Herald news partner CBS Miami reported that one person was wounded and taken to the hospital, and a damaged gray Tesla was on the highway.
