Instagram star Gianluca Vacchi is moving into larger Miami Beach digs. The tab: $24.5M
An Italian playboy is saying ciao to his new home. Gianluca Vacchi, Instagram sensation and board member of Industria Macchine Automatiche, bought a $24.5 million home on Sunset Islands in Miami Beach.
Vacchi bought the 21,240-square-foot waterfront home on Monday. The three-story single-family house at 1510 W. 25th St. has seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and three half-baths. The first level of the main house is 13 feet above sea level — potentially protecting is against sea-level rise. The house has a four-car garage, elevator, wine cellar, rooftop patio and pool.
The property went under contract in June, after a 9% price reduction from the original listing price of $27 million.
Douglas Elliman brokers Eloy Carmenate and Mick Duchon represented the buyer and sellers, developer Morabito Properties CEO Valerio Morabito and his wife, former Victoria’s Secret supermodel, Vita Sidorkina. Morabito and Sidorkina will continue to reside in another home they own in the Sunset Islands.
“The pandemic has created more activity for waterfront single-family homes. Buyers are attracted to the openness [of these homes],” Duchon said.
Morabito bought the property in 2012 for $5.6 million and built the home in 2019, hiring architect Max Strang and interior designer Michele Bonan. Construction cost about $21 million. Morabito listed the home in December 2019.
Vacchi and his partner, Sharon Fonseca, liked the architecture and location of the home, Duchon said. The couple announced they were expecting their first child in May.
The home sold for $1,153 per square foot, less than the most recent comparable sale of Stuart Miller’s home on Star Island, which went for $1,813 per square foot in late July.
Vacchi’s penthouse at 1800 Purdy Ave. remains on the market for $10.9 million.
