• Because of a miscalculation by the race committee, the incorrect winners were listed in the story about the Miami to Key Largo Race on Page 10D of the April 21 edition. Russell Dunn and the crew of Rim Shot were top overall finishers in the PHRF fleet.

To clarify a story in Business Monday about Entertainment Benefits Group, the company said it is a travel and entertainment marketing company that contracts directly with venues and attractions.
A story on Page 12G of the March 26 edition of Business Monday about the loyalty of sports fans in Miami misspelled the last name of Lee Igel, an associate professor of sports business and management at the NYU-SCPS Tisch Center.
An article on Page 1A on Wednesday about Allied Veterans of the World’s contributions to state lawmakers incorrectly reported that state Rep. Kevin Rader, D-Delray Beach, had received $14,000 in contributions. A political committee, Putting People First, which Rader was affiliated with along with other Democratic candidates, received the Allied Veterans contribution.
An article on Page 1E Sunday about the musical Fela! gave an incorrect date for the 1977 Nigerian government attack on Fela Kuti’s compound.
An item on Page 7A Thursday contained several inaccuracies. MIAMI magazine Anne Owen’s name was misspelled, and she had been publisher since 2007. Leslie Wolfson was president of MIAMI magazine. Wolfson left the magazine to become publisher of another company publication in New York and was subsequently laid off.
A photo caption with an article about an art gallery that inspires disabled people to paint misidentified a woman. Martha Fernandez is painting with her mouth at a workshop at Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital. The photo ran on the front of Tuesday’s Tropical Life section.
A reference to Nevin Shapiro in Fred Grimm’s column on 1B Sunday incorrectly identified the disgraced booster’s alma mater.
The Nibbles & Bits column in Thursday’s Tropical Life section gave the wrong price for a March 14 wine dinner at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. It costs $245.
• In a story that ran on 1A on Sunday about this year’s Florida legislative session, the ages of Senate President Don Gaetz and House Speaker Will Weatherford were incorrectly listed. Gaetz is 65; Weatherford is 33.
An article on Monday’s Page 1B about the Archdiocese of Miami’s Poker Run should have said there were two women driving motorcycles.
A story published online on Dec. 10 and in print on Dec. 11 about charter schools incorrectly reported that the salaries of the principal and several teachers at the Ben Gamla schools in Hollywood and Plantation were significantly higher than those paid at other charter schools.
• A Macys advertisement featuring Miami Heat merchandise was mistakenly published June 13 on page 11D in some editions of The Miami Herald. We regret the error and apologize for any inconvenience.
The Jan. 30 editorial Lobbyist win is loss for public interest incorrectly stated that Broward County Commissioner Sue Gunzberger authored an ordinance that will change parts of the county's pretrial release program. Ms. Gunzberger authored an amendment to improve the original proposal.
