Upon hearing Tuesday that the NFL found Miami Dolphins guilty of tampering and the team would lose two draft picks, one a first-rounder, Dolphins fans on social media spat fury at everyone.

At owner Stephen Ross, who is suspended until Oct. 17, for pursuing Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady while still under contract in New England and New Orleans Saints then-coach Sean Payton; at former coach Brian Flores, for calling the tampering to the NFL’s attention in a lawsuit; at the NFL, for announcing this right after announcing the suggested six-game punishment for Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has been accused of sexual assault by numerous women.
And, at the Dolphins in general, the franchise of Bullygate, bungled coaching searches, and no playoff wins since Dec. 30, 2000, and only three playoff appearances since then.
Twitter user Haley Spar recalled her Sept. 15, 2019 Tweet after the Dolphins lost 43-0 to the Patriots (“PSA, it’s hard to be a Dolphins fan rn”) and said “3 years later and yeesh #Dolphins #cmon rly? Time for Ross to sell?”
Also, as a Twitter user nick_oberhausen pointed out, the NFL’s date for Ross’ suspension ending means he’s suspended for... six games, the same as Watson.
Twitter user @SimonPThurston says that the Dolphins decision gets more coverage on his timeline than the Watson decision, “says everything you need to know about the NFL.”
Instagram Dolphins fan account “finsmedia” said “What a SHOCKER this comes out two days after the Watson ruling. Convenient timing to be sure...” on allsportsnews reporting of the decision.
A few spots away on Instagram, Dolphins fans argued about whether Ross, Flores or both weighed the Dolphins down.
Twitter user @rotator_ held no fury for Ross trying to upgrade the Dolphins quarterback and coach slots, but was furious at Flores: “The only solace in all of this is Flores will never ever be a head coach again.”
And, of course, the Dolphins situation easily adapts to the oft-used meme of rapper Drake in an orange winter coat.
