After a nine-year odyssey, retired footballer David Beckham scored a key victory Thursday when Miami commissioners voted 4-1 to lease 73 acres of city-owned land for a Major League Soccer stadium and commercial center, a massive complex that will host home games for Inter Miami.

Now that Miami has approved a new stadium and park for David Beckham’s soccer team, we all want to know: What’s it going to look like?
Although completion is a few years away, renderings show the future stadium and grounds at what is now Melreese golf course near Miami International Airport.

The renderings give us a glimpse of the design and scope of the stadium, which was designed to have 25,000 seats but may be expanded to 40,000. Unlike other stadiums and arenas in South Florida, this one will be nestled in a park setting, according to the plans.
Inter Miami has been playing at a temporary stadium in Fort Lauderdale, which will be converted to a soccer training complex once Miami Freedom Park opens.
