A week after clinching the district title last week, the North Miami Pioneers (8-1, 5-0 District 13-8A) held off the Krop Lightning (2-7, 1-4 District 13-8A) at North Miami Stadium thanks to an standout performance by quarterback Hilton Joseph.
Joseph propelled the offense with his best performance of the season, throwing for 476 yards and three touchdowns on 28 of 48 passing in the 42-21 victory.
The win helps the Pioneers continue to build momentum and focus as they prepare for the postseason.
“This was a wake up call for us because we know we can’t take anyone lightly,” Joseph said.
