Strong second quarter sends Ferguson Falcons to easy victory
After a slow start, the Ferguson Falcons (6-1, 3-0 District 15-8A) scored 42 unanswered points to close out the Sunset Knights (2-5, 0-3) and earn a 42-7 district victory at Ferguson.
Sunset scored the only points of the first quarter on a 10-yard run by Curtis Doctor.
Following a 10-yard touchdown run by Gianni McCrea, the Falcons added the go-ahead score on a fumble recovered in the end zone by J. P. Nascimento for a touchdown. A 1-yard run by quarterback Richard Valdez capped a 21-0 second quarter for the Falcons.
Ferguson added three more touchdown in the second half on runs by Anthony Moscoso, Elyjah Felton and Linos Hall.
