Miami High rolls, earns best start since 1999 season

Miami High recovered from a sluggish start and rolled to a 48-11 victory over Sunset at Southridge.

The win moved Miami High to 5-1 on the season, its best start since 1999, and sets up a pivotal district matchup against rival Coral Gables next Friday.

The Stingarees scored 27 unanswered points against the Knights (2-4) in the second quarter, with the special teams and defense doing most of the work.

Miami High receiver Keyshawn Young joined the barrage on the following drive with a 75-yard punt return for a score. Young caught two more TD passes (20 yards and 11 yards, respectively) from quarterback Murphy Theodore.
