Defense scores three touchdowns in Blanche Ely’s victory

Blanche Ely’s Teddrick Moffett and Thomas Geddis led the offense, scoring two touchdowns each, and the defense scored three touchdowns off turnovers in a 55-19 rout of the visiting Northeast Hurricanes as the Tigers (5-4, 3-0) concluded their District 15-7A schedule without a loss.

Northeast quarterback Brion Sanchious was 27 of 55 for 213 yards, but he was picked off twice for touchdowns for Ely. Rayshard Wallace scored on a 50-yard return, and Terrance Henley reached the end zone after going 65 yards.

David Francis accounted for the other defensive touchdown, scoring on a 34-yard fumble recovery as the Hurricanes fell to 1-8, 1-2.
