Hurricanes get second commitment in as many days, flipping a prospect from ACC rival
The Miami Hurricanes have landed their second recruiting commitment in as many days.
The most recent pledge: Class of 2026 defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil, who on Wednesday flipped his oral pledge from Clemson to Miami.
Stancil, out of Clayton (North Carolina) High, is a four-star prospect and rated as the No. 168 overall prospect nationally and No. 23 overall defensive lineman according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.
According to MaxPreps, the senior has 56 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery this season. He had a combined 31 tackles for loss and 14 sacks the previous two seasons and also throws the shot put as part of his school’s track and field team.
Stancil, who is listed at 6-3 and 270 pounds, had been committed to Clemson since June 28.
With his pledge, the Hurricanes now have 25 players committed in the Class of 2026. He is the fourth defensive lineman in the class and the highest rated of the four. The other defensive linemen he joins in the class include four-star Anthony Kennedy Jr. from Little Rock Central High in Arkansas, three-star Tyson Baker from Hoover High in Alabama and three-star Frederic Sainteus from Naples St. John Neumann.
Stancil’s commitment comes one day after four-star wide receiver Milan Parris also committed to Miami on Tuesday.
