Hurricanes receive commitment from four-star receiver in latest recruiting push
After a relatively quiet stretch on the recruiting trail, the Miami Hurricanes have landed another commitment to their Class of 2026.
Wide receiver Milan Parris, a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite ranking, announced his oral pledge to UM on Tuesday night, giving Miami its fourth wide receiver commitment for the Class of 2026.
Parris, out of Stow (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit High, visited Miami last weekend for the Hurricanes’ 42-7 win over Stanford. The 247Sports composite ranking lists him as the No. 37 overall wide receiver in the class and the 10th-best prospect in Ohio.
“It was great to see them throw the ball a lot,” Parris said after the game, according to 247Sports. “They said they didn’t have the explosive game that they were planning on, but I think they did a good job showing me how they can use me with [CJ Daniels], and I feel I can serve in the slot and help [Malachi Toney] out in the future.”
Parris is the Hurricanes’ 24th commitment for the class. He joins three other wide receivers in the class: four-star Vance Spafford from Mission Viejo (California), four-star Somourian Wingo from St. Augustine and three-star Tyran Evans from Cornelius (North Carolina) High. Spafford, Wingo and Parris give Miami three of the class’ top 40 receivers.
Parris picked Miami over the likes of Auburn, Oregon and Oklahoma. 247Sports’ scouting report calls him an “imposing outside receiver with all the physical tools to bake into a touchdown machine on Saturdays and then potentially Sundays.” It goes on to say he “establishes leverage with both his acceleration and power” and “offers up a monster catch radius not only with his length, but also his jumps and coordination as he can turn 50-50 balls into easy rebounds.”
