  • Rain chances vary from 20% to 40% through Monday with lows around 80 degrees.

Hurricane Erin has us staring at the weather maps this week. While South Florida is mostly out of the picture, we still have other weather to worry about — mainly the heat.

Expect weekend temperatures to climb into the 90s and feel like triple digits. Miami and Broward may get some rain as well, with a 20-40% chance. Overnight lows will be around 80.

“We tend to see low 90s this time of year, but that doesn’t mean it feels good,” said CBS News Miami meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said.

Even though it will feel hot-hot-hot, the National Weather Service hasn’t issued a heat advisory. The advisory is triggered when the heat index, a stew of air temperature and humidity, stays at least 105 for several hours during the day.

Looking into the start of next week, Monday continues the trend of low 90s during the day with a low of 80 and a low chance for rain.
