Do you need an umbrella? Here’s the weather forecast for Thanksgiving and Black Friday
Will Thanksgiving come with sunshine or rain in Florida? Some will luck out with mostly sunny skies and clear nights — depending on where they live.
An umbrella might be necessary for those living in some parts of South Florida and Key West, according to the National Weather Service. All of Bradenton and Orlando are expected to luck out with zero rain on turkey day.
South Florida is slated for mostly sunny skies with a high in the upper 70s. Dining out? You might want to take a sweater since temperatures may drop to the mid-60s. Those staying in and dining around the table — perhaps around a curated Publix holiday kit or chef prepared take-home meal — should be fine. Only sunshine and partly cloudy skies will color Miami-Dade County; Broward, on the other hand, may see some thunderstorms at night.
In Key West? Keep an umbrella on hand since rain is expected throughout the day.
The weekend is a mixed bag throughout Florida.
The weekend brings a mix of good and bad weather throughout Florida, except for Key West. Rain is expected to drench the Conch Republic from Friday through Sunday. Temperatures will vary from the high 60s to the high 70s.
Expect wet Black Fridays in Bradenton, Miami-Dade and Broward with a 20% chance of thunderstorms. Bradenton will be in the clear for the remainder of the weekend with temperatures ranging from the high 50s to the mid-70s. Rain dampens South Florida again on Saturday, but Miami-Dade will stay dry on Sunday. The forecast has yet to come out for Broward. Temperatures will stay around the high 70s.
Heading to a theme park on Friday and Saturday in Orlando? You’ll be in the clear and experience a low of 54 degrees and high of 74 degrees. Sunday’s forecast calls for a 20% chance of showers.
