Man had child porn videos of his girlfriend’s daughter. Now, he’s just got time

A Stuart man got the maximum sentence possible after his girlfriend found videos of him sexually abusing her 11-year-old daughter.

U.S. District Judge Robin L. Rosenberg slapped Torrie Austin, 36, with a 30-year sentence and a lifetime of supervised release after Austin pleaded guilty to one count of producing visual depictions of the sexual exploitation of a minor. That’s a long-winded, legal way of saying “making child porn.”

Austin’s admission of facts says the Martin County Sheriff’s Office found not only the two videos on the phone seen by the victim’s mother (“VM”), who went to law enforcement as soon as she saw them. But, after hitting Google with a search warrant, MCSO found six other videos on Austin’s Google Drive and Google Photos.

In those videos, VM recognized the clothes, hands, feet and jewelry of Austin, with whom she has two children (he’s not the 11-year-old’s father).

She also recognized the furniture in Austin’s home. It’s where he used to watch all three kids while she was at work.
