Soup from one of the nation’s largest grocery sellers recalled. A customer found glass

The latest in a recent run of not-food-in-your-food recalls concerns H-E-B’s store brand Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, pulled after “a customer notified the supplier that the product contained a glass piece.”

That’s from the FDA-posted recall notice written by manufacturer Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods. The notice says the jars have been yanked from the shelves of the United States’ sixth largest grocery seller, which is to Texas what the No. 5 grocery seller, Publix, is to Florida.

This recall covers 31.4-ounce jars, lot No. 22871 with a best by date of 10/14/22. Those with this soup can return it to the store for a full refund.
