A man got lucky on a slot machine at a Connecticut casino with a $5 bet.
Now, he’s $347,562.62 richer.
The Hartford gambler went to the Mohegan Sun ’s Casino of the Sky on Jan. 27, the casino said in a Feb. 3 news release.
He sat at a Dollar Storm Caribbean Gold slot machine, made a bet and hit spin.
Then a jackpot message appeared saying he had won hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But that wasn’t the only big win at the casino that day.
Another player bet $62.50 on a Lightning Cash slot machine and won $110,103.55.
Mohegan Sun is in Uncasville, which is about a 45-mile drive southeast from Hartford.
Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
