Two lottery players win six-figure jackpots in Georgia. Where were lucky tickets sold?
Two Fantasy 5 players tried their luck — and each took the top prize.
The lucky winners hit the jackpot, netting $156,887 after matching five numbers in the drawing Friday, Jan. 31, according to the Georgia Lottery.
Officials said the winning tickets were purchased on the lottery’s mobile app; two by an Atlanta resident and the third by a Warner Robins resident. Each beat odds of 1 in 850,668 to win the Fantasy 5 jackpot prize.
The winning numbers drawn Jan. 31 were 10-13-20-27-42, the Georgia Lottery said.
They mark the latest in a string of lottery wins for the Peach State in less than a week.
A $50 and $100 Frenzy Quick Win ticket sold in Statesboro won a jackpot worth $293,723 on Feb. 1, lottery officials said.
A Powerball player also matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000 in the Feb. 1 drawing, McClatchy News reported. That winning ticket was sold in Lawrenceville.
Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said.
