One man and two children hit in shooting in front of a Fort Lauderdale store, cops say

A fusillade of bullets outside a Fort Lauderdale grocery store hit a 6-year-old girl inside the grocery store and a 16-year-old boy and a man outside the store Sunday night, police said.

All three were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where the boy and the girl are expected to survive, Fort Lauderdale cops said. The man has been released.

With a large crowd gathered in and around Tony’s Market, 800 NW 22nd Road, just before 10 p.m., police say, several people “began to fire more than 50 rounds from semi-automatic rifles and handguns.”

Anyone with information about this can call Fort Lauderdale Det. Jameson Jones, 954-828-5771, or, to remain anonymous, Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS).
