A delayed flight, an airport attack caught on camera and 3 Philadelphia women arrested

Violence at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport involving kicking, punching, and bags of food thrown ended with three women from Philadelphia arrested by Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Each of the three — Tymaya Wright, Danaysha Dixon, Keira Ferguson — was charged in Broward court with misdemeanor battery. Wright also has been charged with petit theft. All posted bond after Tuesday’s arrests.

Spirit Airlines said the three women resorted to violence after their flight to Philadelphia was delayed.

Video shows two of the women throw what appear to be bags of fast food at Spirit employees. All three eventually charge the counter. In the video, flailing arms and kicking legs can be seen among the bodies in the melee.

Spirit said three of their employees suffered minor injuries in the attack.

“This violent behavior is completely unacceptable and has absolutely no place in airports or any other place of business,” the airline said in a statement. “We will not tolerate abusive behavior of any kind.”
