He got a gun and sold an Apple Watch at pawn shops — and that was a problem, cops say

Walking out of a pawn shop with a gun and with the money from selling an Apple Watch isn’t illegal — unless you do it the way Fort Lauderdale police say a man did it on April 1.

He started at U.S. Pawn Jewelry & Guns, 400 W. Sunrise Blvd, cops say. After failing to successfully negotiate the sale of the Apple Watch, surveillance video shows, the man managed to sneak a gun from the display case.

More surveillance video shows him at another pawn shop where police say he used fake identification to sell the Apple Watch.

Anyone with information on this case can call Detective Tammy O’Brien at 954-828-5916.
