A man walking home from Publix was killed in a Winn-Dixie parking lot, cops say

Surveillance camera footage shows the lead suspect in what Fort Lauderdale police believe was a robbery murder of a 53-year-old man.

Police say Ivan Lugo had left Publix on foot when the subject confronted him as Lugo crossed through the parking lot in front of the Winn-Dixie, 3260 Davie Blvd. They believe the subject tried to rob Lugo and shot the former tow truck driver when Lugo fought back.

Lugo died at Broward Health Medical Center.
