Don’t flush the toilet unless it’s really needed, South Florida city tells its people

For when a city asks residents to limit toilet flushing.

It’s OK to drink the water in Lauderhill. Just don’t run it or flush the toilet “unless necessary,” the city requests of residents west of Florida’s Turnpike.

A sewer main break at Northwest 55th Avenue and 24th Street prompted the city to send out that alert Wednesday until further notice. Another notice will be posted to the city’s website and Twitter feed when repairs are done.
