‘Whaaat?’ Watch an alligator casually cross the street at the Dolphin Mall in Miami
The age-old question: Why did the alligator cross the road?
In all seriousness, an alligator did cross the road Friday evening — at Dolphin Mall in Sweetwater in Miami-Dade County.
Jonathan Lorenzo, 20, told the Miami Herald he was headed to the retail destination and had to stop short suddenly when he saw the sizable reptile making its way across the street by the entrance.
The Tamiami resident said the gator, about four feet long, literally stopped traffic. About four cars, including his, braked to let it pass. Lorenzo says it then disappeared into the darkness.
In the quick video he shot, someone off camera says, “Whaaat???!!!” as it struts on by.
Maybe it needed to pick up a few things from the store?
