Another 5 Fort Lauderdale establishments shut down for COVID-19 re-opening violations
Another five Fort Lauderdale restaurants got shut down by code compliance and one restaurant got fined $15,000 for straying outside the COVID-19 pandemic reopening guidelines.
As restaurant dining areas open back up, albeit with an increasing restrictions, City of Fort Lauderdale compliance officers have roamed about, checking such elements as social distancing and facial covering.
The restaurants that got closed, in alphabetical order:
▪ Ann’s Florist Coffee and Wine Bar, 1003 E. Las Olas Blvd. Violation: Social distancing not being enforced. Fine: $250.
▪ Fishtales on 33rd, 3355 NE 33rd St. Violation: Social distancing not enforced, facial covering violations, being open after midnight. Fine: $250.
▪ Hunters Beach Bar, 237 Almond Ave. Violation: Selling alcohol for on-site drinking. Fine: $15,000.
▪ Louie Bossi’s Ristorante and Bar, 1032 E. Las Olas Blvd. Violation: Social distancing not being enforced. Fine: $250.
▪ Yolo (You Only Live Once), 333 E. Las Olas Blvd. Violation: Social distancing not enforced, facial covering violations. Fine: $250.
Businesses eligible for reopening have been getting re-inspected in just over 24 hours. There’s another inspection within five days to ensure compliance.
