Coronavirus

A COVID-19 testing site opens Monday at a Walmart near Hialeah. But before you go...

Three-day-a-week drive-up COVID-19 testing begins Monday morning at the Walmart between Hialeah and Miami’s Liberty City, but there are a few things you need to know before planning to go:

Testing will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

This is a drive-up only site, in the Walmart parking lot at 3200 NW 79th St., not inside the Walmart itself.

This isn’t an all-comers site, but for those exhibiting signs of being infected by the novel coronavirus, healthcare providers and first responders.

You need to make an appointment through Quest Diagnostics’ website or app, through which screening will be done.

You need to wear a mask when you roll up for testing.

Those with questions can call Quest at 866-448-7719, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Eastern time.
