Rent decreased or stayed the same in these South Florida cities. See the savings

Rents have decreased year-over-year by 1% to 15% in several cities across South Florida, according to the latest monthly Miami Metro report by online national rental listing company Zumper.

The company surveyed the median asking rents in November 2023 versus November 2022 for new listings in 29 of the most populated cities in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The listings consist of apartments, condos, houses and townhouses on Zumper and third-party sites, including the Multiple Listing Service.

Here are the cities with rent drops for one-bedroom rentals and two- bedroom residences and the median asking rents today:

One-bedroom rentals:

Sunny Isles Beach: 14.4%, $2,500

Plantation: 10.1%, $1,950

Dania Beach: 10.1%, $1,780

Weston: 9.1%, $2,000

North Miami Beach: 6.4%, $1,760

Fort Lauderdale: 5.7%, $2,000

Doral: 5.3%, $2,330

Miami Gardens: 5%, $1,510

Miramar: 3.7%, $1,800

Delray Beach: 3.3%, $2,050

Miami: 2.3%, $2,600

Pompano Beach: 2.2%, $1,800

West Palm Beach: 1.7%, $1,740

Deerfield Beach: 1.6%, $1,820

Two-bedroom rentals:

Aventura: 14.5%, $3,360

North Miami: 10.4%, $2,500

Fort Lauderdale: 5.7%, $2,800

Miramar: 4.2%, $2,300

Dania Beach: 3.1%, $2,470

Deerfield Beach: 2.1%, $2,350

Lake Worth: 2.1%, $2,290

Pembroke Pines: 2%, $2,400

Weston: 1.9%, $2,600

Delray Beach: 1.1%, $2,620

Asking rents stayed flat (less than a 1% change) in these cities:

One-bedroom rentals:

Miami Beach: 0%, $2,500

Aventura: 0%, $2,400

Homestead: 0%, $1,650

Coral Springs: 0%, $1,750

Hallandale Beach: 0.5%, $2,080

Oakland Park: 0.6%, $1,750

Two-bedroom rentals:

West Palm Beach: 0%, $2,280

Miami: 0.6%, $3,500

Doral: 0%, $2,900

Coral Springs: 0%, $2,000

Davie: 0.4%, $2,300

Oakland Park: 0.5%, $2,170

Plantation: 0.8%, $2,410
