Real estate calendar for the week of May 25

Business and real estate professionals are coming together this week to discuss a range of topics, from development in the City of Plantation to women developers.

MAY 26

The Florida International University College of Business and the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center will host the free webinar “Business trends in the new normal” from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Adriana Madrinan, a managing partner at the Weston-based business consultancy firm Concepta Strategies, will discuss workplace trends and marketing and technology tools to help businesses expand. MAY 27

The D.C.-based nonprofit Urban Land Institute will host the talk “Increasing the visibility of women in real estate development: A conversation with Taya Cook, Sherry Larjani and Kelly Nagel” from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nagel will moderate the discussion with Cook and Larjani, the team behind Canada’s first all-female designed and developed condominium Reina. The talk is free for ULI full members; tickets range from $25 for ULI associate student members to $145 for nonmembers. RSVP here.

MAY 28

The Miami Association of Realtors will host the free webinar “Virtual Broward Commercial Marketplace” from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Lynn Stoner, the mayor of Plantation, will discuss how the city is aiding business and trying to attract others and developers, despite the ongoing pandemic. RSVP here.
