Real estate calendar for the week of May 4
▪ Real estate webinars this week focus on how different asset types in the industry have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The discussions revolve on an analysis of recent weeks and a prediction of the economic, legal and market changes to come.

▪ The New York-based digital media company Bisnow will host the free webinar “How to manage existing projects during coronavirus” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bradley Colmer, managing principal of the Miami Beach-based real estate development and investment firm Deco Capital Group, and Andrew Hellinger, co-principal at UrbanX Group, will speak about their projects, including Deco Capital’s Eighteen Sunset and UrbanX’s River Landing. ▪ The Miami Association of Realtors will host the free virtual discussion “Covid-19 Eviction” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The webinar will focus on the state’s expected lifting on the hold on residential evictions for non-payment of rent on May 17th. Attorneys Conrad Grant and Jerron Kelley of the Boca Raton-based law firm Kelley & Grant will discuss eviction options, three-day notices, late fees for nonpayments and county court statuses. ▪ The South Florida branch of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, or NAIOP South Florida, will host the free webinar “A new dawn: The re-awakening of industrial after COVID-19” from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Five local industry leaders will talk about the impact of the pandemic on supply chains, manufacturing and distribution of goods from China, India and Australia. The list of participants includes Genet Property President Ben Genet, Duke Realty Vice President of leasing and development Stephanie Rodriguez and managing director of Colliers International China Tammy Tang. ▪ NAIOP South Florida will host another free webinar from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. “Miami market update: Understanding and assessing the pandemic’s impact on Miami office demand and design.” Speakers Tower Commercial Real Estate President Jon Blunk, Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chair Brian Gale and Blanca Commercial Real Estate Vice Chairman Juan Ruiz will discuss office conditions in the first quarter of 2020 and the prospects for the remainder of the year.
