Here’s your real estate agenda for the first week of March
The real estate community in Miami kicks off the first week of March with a calendar filled with events. Here are a handful you wouldn’t want to miss:
▪ Mar. 3: The Wynwood Business Improvement District will host an emergency Wynwood BID Board meeting from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Light Box at Goldman Warehouse at 404 NE 26th St., Miami. Business owners and developers in the area will discuss late-night noise complaints. Mayor Francis Suarez, Chief of Police Jorge Colina and Commissioner Keon Hardemon are expected to attend the discussion. No reservations are required for this free event.
▪ Mar. 4: The Miami Association of Realtors will host the discussion “Understanding zoning and how it works in real estate” from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the association’s Miami headquarters at 700 South Royal Poinciana Blvd., Miami Springs. Realtor and association member Jose Garrido will lead the talk about zoning and land use regulation. Garrido will discuss the basics of zoning and land use regulation for the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County, including Miami 21. Members pay $15 and non-members pay $30 if they reserve their spot ahead of time. Members onsite pay $25; non-members pay $50. RSVP here.
▪ Mar. 5: The digital real estate news outlet PROFILEMiami will host the event “People to watch: Young leaders in South Florida real estate” from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at X Miami Apartments at 230 NE Fourth St, Miami. Moderator Philip C. Rosen, a shareholder with Becker & Poliakoff, will lead the conversation with PGM Managing Partner Ryan Shear, One World Properties CEO Peggy Olin Fucci and Place Projects Principal Joe Furst. The panelists will discuss what new projects are in the pipeline for South Florida, industry trends and tips for success for industry professionals. Tickets cost $39. RSVP here.
▪ Mar. 6: The Attorneys’ Real Estate Councils of Florida will host the event 2020 Real Estate Legal Summit for the Miami Association of Realtors from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Ten attorneys will outline the latest legal developments shaping the real estate industry in South Florida. Members of the Miami Association of Realtors pay $109; non-members pay $129. RSVP here.
