Real estate events this week include talks — think Wynwood and construction — and an evening of networking. Here are the week’s noteworthy events:

Feb. 19: The New York-based media company Bisnow Media will host the talk “Wynwood and Allapattah Expansion: New Development, cultural integrity and the expansion of placemaking” from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Miami 400 SE Second Ave. The first panel discusses the area’s latest and upcoming projects, and the second focuses on how local developers can offset increasing residential and commercial rents.

Keynote speakers include Related Group Vice President of Development Jon Paul Pérez, Willis Towers Watson Head of Corporate Risk & Brokering for Florida Fred Zutel and Tricera Capital Co-Founder and Managing Principal Scott Sherman. Other speakers include Neology Life Development Group Principal & CEO Lissette Calderon, Property Markets Group Managing Partner Ryan Shear and Sterling Bay Director of Leasing Michael Lirtzman.

Feb. 20

The Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit Urban Land Institute will host the free webinar “Strategies for low carbon construction: An introduction to reducing embodied carbon” from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The organization’s webinar will highlight the key findings from the ULI Greenprint Center’s report Embodied Carbon in Building Materials for Real Estate published in January. The Miami Association of Realtors will host a free networking event for South Florida Realtors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cibo Wine Bar at 45 Miracle Mile. Attendees will receive complimentary appetizers and one drink. RSVP here.
