Events this week guide Realtors through the intersection of foreign investment as well as potential tax-saving strategies for home owners.
▪ Feb. 5: The Miami Association of Realtors will host the webinar “Help Your Foreign Investors Use Real Estate for Immigration Purposes” from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The discussion will take place at the association’s Sawgrass office at 13680 NW 14th St.
Weston-based immigration, corporate and international tax attorney Don Gonzalez will lead the discussion. Gonzalez has over 20 years of experience collaborating with foreign investors, especially from Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Spain and Italy, and Realtors on real estate transactions. ▪ Feb. 8: The Miami-Dade Real Estate Investors Association will host a workshop on equity trust wealth building from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Davie’s Signature Grand at 6900 Florida State Road 84. Entrepreneur Michael Cozart will lead the discussion on self-directed IRA/401(k) techniques to potentially eliminate capital gains taxes through real estate and tax-advantaged retirement accounts.
