Real estate conferences this week are scattered across Miami-Dade County, but all have one thing in common: a focus on change.

Jan. 22-23: The International Council of Shopping Centers will host the Nexus Conference at the Mandarin Oriental at 500 Brickell Key Drive Wednesday and Thursday Panel discussions highlight new drivers of brick-and-mortar success, how augmented reality will change real estate, what the U.S. can learn from China and the future of retail. Events run all day. Students pay $50, members $970 and non-members $1,315. RSVP here.

Jan. 23: The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s “2020 Vision” economic summit runs 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Jungle Island at 1111 Parrot Jungle Island, Miami. Dr. Eduardo Padron, president Emeritus Miami Dade College, will kick off the discussion. Breakout sessions include Business Talk: Miami & New York. Attendees pay $125 if they reserve their spot in advance and $175 on site. RSVP here.

Jan 24: The Miami Association of Realtors will host the discussion “Adjusting to the Zillow World” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Coral Gables office at 245 Alcazar Ave. Mark Weithorn, an instructor for the Realtors organization for over 15 years, will lead the discussion on how Realtors should advertise their listings on Zillow and how to distinguish themselves from the listing and home buying organization. Members attend for free; non-members pay $25. RSVP here.
