▪ The industry group Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) hosts its “2020 Economic Outlook and Public Policy” luncheon at the Four Seasons Brickell at 1435 Brickell Ave. CRE Real Estate Economist Hugh Kelly and accounting firm Grant Thornton’s public policy representative Mary Moore Hamrick discuss the year ahead in commercial real estate. 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Free for members with pre-paid lunch; other attendees $55 to $85. ▪ The CRE Finance Council (CREFC) will host its’ annual January Conference through Wednesday at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel at 1601 Collins Ave. Daily panels focus on topic including lending and recessaion resiliency with speakers including Starwood Capital Group Chairman and CEO Barry S. Sternlicht, Citigroup Global Markets Vice Chairman Thomas Flexner and David Gergen, former White House advisor to the Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Clinton administrations. ▪ On Wednesday, the Florida CCIM Chapter of Miami-Dade/Monroe District hosts the “2020 Commercial Real Estate Outlook” session at the Coral Gables County Club at 997 North Giveway Dr., Coral Gables, slated for 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Keynote speaker K.C. Conway CCIM Institute Chief Economist, will lead the discussion with including market analysts from Fairchild Partners, Berkadia, CBRE and Azor Advisory Services. Tickets $60 to $89. Register here.
▪ On Thursday, the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida presents the “2020 Industrial Market Report” at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center at 711 NW 72nd Ave., Miami, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Speakers include Tom Dixon and Andrew Dixon of Dixon Commercial Real Estate and Jose Juncadella and Sebastian Juncadella of Fairchild Partners.
