Throughout history, important and lasting art has been forged from many materials. Paint and canvas. Chalk or pen and ink. Wood and clay. Glass or stone.
And now, Cheeto dust, known widely in the art world as “Cheetle.”
To honor this achievement — which, let’s face it, may not stand the test of time — comes “Yacht the Basel: The Art of the Cheetle,” a one-day event showcasing eight original artworks created from the iconic orange dust that you can never wash off your hands no matter how hard you try.
Curated by artist Lefty Out There and a partnership between lifestyle brand Rock The Bells and Cheetos, the hip-hop inspired event will be unveiled at the SeaFair Megayacht, which is docked majestically at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
You’re welcome to enjoy live performances on this floating gallery by Just Blaze, Kaash Paige, DJ Millie and others, but you’ll need a free reservation to attend the official unveiling.
You are not, however, coming along on the invitation-only spin around the Miami harbor on the yacht, which is a shame, because you’re going to miss luxury Cheetos-inspired cuisine. Cheeto Wellington, anyone?
