Many of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Instagram followers probably did a double take on Tuesday after seeing a post from him pop up in their feeds.

That’s because the embattled rapper is still behind bars with no bail after his September arrest on sex trafficking charges.

The surprise share was innocent enough: Wishing his youngest child, daughter Love, a happy second birthday. The carousel showed various pics of the toddler eating cake and at the beach with her infamous father. The child’s mother Dana Tran — a cybersecurity expert whose residence was listed on the birth certificate as Newport Beach, California — is not anywhere in the snaps.

The caption wrote out the words to the song, “Happy Birthday,” and ended with “daddy loves you.”

If inquiring minds wanted to know how the father of seven was able to post from his new home at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, they couldn’t ask. Comments were turned off.

According to UsWeekly, Combs has very limited access to the outside world so likely had someone close to him with his password do it for him.

A former MDC inmate told the magazine that “heavily monitored” inmates get 300 minutes a month for calls, and “email is timed at like five cents a minute.”

As per the detention center’s website, phone and email privileges are extended to “maintain ties” and to “improve the likelihood of a successful re-entry into the community, thus reducing the potential for recidivism.”
