Tiger Woods is being sued over a selfie.

Well, let’s just call it an epic fail of a selfie, TMZ first reported.

According to Pinellas County court records, Pasco County man Brian Borruso filed a lawsuit against Eldrick Woods (real name, yes) on Tuesday claiming that he’s still suffering the effects of the star golfer’s caddie shoving him at a tournament two years ago.

Way before the social distancing era.

There is TMZ video of the incident, which took place Valspar Gold tournament in Palm Harbor, Florida, in March 2018.

Woods is walking on the 13th hole in a bright pink shirt and Borruso gets inches away from him, holding up his phone to get the perfect pic.

Suddenly, Woods’ caddie, Joe LaCava, appears yelling for the crowd to get back and then raising his arms. But then the clip quickly ends.

Borruso’s suit seeks $30,000 in damages including “disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, expenses of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of ability to earn income, and aggravation of a previously existing condition.”

OK, so, apparently, Woods had no idea this guy even was on the planet: USGA rules state a golfer is responsible for a caddie’s actions.

Woods tied for second place at the tourney, by the way.

Were you there? Because Borruso’s attorney Josh Dreschel released a statement seeking the public’s help in identifying people in the crowd.

“We’re asking anyone who was there to contact us and let us know if you saw the incident, if you know whose voices are on the video and if you may have video or pictures of the incident.”

Contact Dreschel through the website The Josh Firm.
