Britney Spears was in a Miami swimming pool in December. Your abuela would not approve
We’re not sure Britney Spears got the memo:
The beginning of December in Miami is all about Art Basel and the fabulous stuff surrounding the annual fair.
But it seems she and her model boyfriend Sam Asghari, 25, were in the Magic City for another reason.
Her 38th birthday.
UsWeekly first reported that Spears flew in to celebrate the occasion, which fell on Monday.
On Instagram, a quick clip showed all their varied activities which included bowling and ice skating at the Edition and blowing out a sparkly cake.
On Sunday, the singer was seen poolside at the Edition, in a private cabana.
Spears may have also not gotten the memo that it is full-on winter here.
The twice divorced mother of two was wearing a bikini and even took a dip in the pool.
Brrrr. Um, locals don’t swim in December. But, hey, she’s Britney and can do whatever she wants.
Side note: Spears likely wasn’t happy about being photographed showing so much skin. The last time she was in Miami with her bf, Spears got into it on social media, saying that shutterbugs used filters to make her look fat.
During this most recent stay, Us reports Spears even complained to hotel staff that she wanted privacy.
“Britney was complaining to the hotel staff about the paparazzi and said sometimes she just wants a break and doesn’t want to be photographed,” an insider told the publication. “She was low key in certain ways.”
Here’s to hoping the singer had a lovely time and didn’t get inundated with invitations to Art Basel events that are incomprehensible.
